For September 2016, Richard Smith has looked at the rich textile heritage of Japan. Obi, the sash used in traditional dress, often has an element of “mix and match”. Origami suggests a layering of elements through folding. The combination of these two captures the spirit of this exciting new collection.
An enticing collection of different textures that work beautifully with the Pageant collections of fabrics and wallpapers. This group of wovens has a sophisticated colour palette inspired by natural dyes and a variety of structures that play off one another to give a layered look.
The no.9 collection for Spring 2016, designed by Richard Smith, offers a series of embroideries, prints, decorative weaves and textured upholsteries. One after another, these fabrics impress with striking, fresh colour, innovative constructions, and sophisticated handle.
